Why Snail Mail?

Snail mail is a way to support USPS and add a bit of whimsy to your mailbox. It's about supporting women with creative gifts

Creator Amanda

Hi, I'm Amanda, an APCC from California. I discovered analog life a few years ago while going through a breakup in grad school. A few friends recommended picking up a creative hobby, which felt daunting since I was working full-time and in grad school but that's when I picked up film photography.

Not only does it give me a creative outlet, but it's on my own time and I can do it anywhere. I love how it forces me to be present and wait for the pictures to be developed, accepting them as-is, imperfections and all.

After grad school, I solo-traveled through Europe: Portugal, Spain, and Germany where I continued exploring the continent through the lens of a camera and as a local. I wrote about my travels on LinkedIn to share about burnout and self-care while abroad.

As a kid, I loved art, collaging, and creating mosaics, so when junk journaling
came onto the scene, I dove in headfirst. I'm now part of a junk journal club in Southern California.

I live with my black cat, JiJi, named after Kiki's Delivery Service.

I wanted to combine all of my passions: being present, mental health, analog life, slowing down, film photography, and whims. I'm teaming up with another clinician, Carol, who's providing the graphics and stickers for the snail mail club!

Women supporting women supporting whimsy.

Hi I’m Caroline

Clinical social worker intern [RCSWI]

I'm Caroline (she/her), a registered clinical social worker intern [RCSWI] (~150 hrs from licensure as I'm posting this) in the state of FL. I am the artist for letters and little breakthroughs!

I always encourage my clients to pursue joy, rest, and hobbies, but have never been great at doing so myself. I am so grateful to have met Amanda and the opportunity to take making art more seriously and am feeling so much more inspired and motivated to share it with others. I am incredibly excited to help her vision come to life and connect with you all in the process. I hope our efforts reach your hearts and provide a little bit of joy, whimsy, and peace during these crazy times we are living in. Thank you for joining us 🫶🏻
